Yahoo Mail gets a revamp
More social and open
18 September 2009 10:39 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott
Yahoo has unveiled "enhancements" to its webmail service which it says will allow its 11 million mail users in the UK "to more easily communicate with the people they really care about, share updates, and send high-quality photos".
From next month, users will also be able to use third party applications such as ZumoDrive as well as Yahoo apps such as Flickr, direct from their mailbox.
Designed to be "more open and social" photos can be dragged and dropped from a desktop to Yahoo Mail up to an increased attachment size of 25MB.
Emails from contacts now "float to the top" of the mailbox while status updates, photos and videos can be put in the "What's New?" section for chosen contacts to view.
