Hairdressing garment gets see-thru window for phone addicts

iCape launches for smarthone-toting salon clients

17 September 2009 11:36 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

If you're so into your mobile phone (or other handheld electronic device) that you can't put it down even for a quick "going on holiday this year?" chat with your hairdresser, then the iCape is aimed at you.

Just launched in the States, the iCape is a "hair-cutting cape with a clear window in the lap area through which a salon customer can safely read email, text messages, news, electronic books and digital magazines".

Angled as "the new smartphone apparel for salons", the garment is available now for hairdressing establishments to buy, while consumers can take a look at the site to find an iCape-equipped salon near them.
