Vuzix has announced the launch of the "game-changing" Wrap 310 video eyewear glasses, that its says "challenges the status quo of traditional video viewing devices by looking and feeling like normal sunglasses".The Wrap 310 offer twin high-res displays (said to be equivalent of a 55-inch screen) and include removable noise isolating earphones.
Two AA batteries are said to be good for up to 6 hours runtime and content can come from "almost any video player" (there's composite video input and optional VGA and component compatibility adapters) including the iPod and iPhone.
With what's said to be an improved on-screen user interface, independent focus adjustments and compatibility with all major 3D video formats, the glasses will get an expansion port for future-proofing.
Availability and pricing for the new vid-goggs has yet to be revealed, but we'll keep you posted.
