20% of tweets are about company names

Twitter is all about brand, brand, brand, well at least one fifth of it is, according to a new study in the States.

According to Jim Jansen of Penn State university, he and Twitter chief scientist Abdur Chowdhury looked at half a million tweets to find that 20% of them were apparently people "asking and providing" product information.

That means one in five of your tweets are about you praising or moaning about products, company's and general brand recognition.
