TomTom has launched two new GPS units in the US on Monday offering 5-inch screens so drivers can see where they are going a little more clearly.

The new models, which won't be coming to the UK, will be the TomTom XXL 530S and XXL 540S.

The new models will come with IQ Routes, full maps of the US and Canada, TomTom Map Share and HOME features, and of course a five-inch screen.

IQ Routes, already found in many of the company's other models, uses historical speed measurements to calculate estimated time of arrivals, giving you a better idea of when you will arrive.

The TomTom XXL 540S will add maps of Mexico, and come with a "high-quality" black finish.

The new models are expected in October and will be $279.95 for the TomTom XXL 530S and $299.95 for the TomTom XXL 540S.
