Pocket-lint has recorded higher than average Chrome usage on the site, revealing that Google's browser is particularly popular with Pocket-lint readers.

While Google Chrome enjoys a less-then-3% global share of the browser market, here on Pocket-lint Chrome usage has hit nearly 7%.

Interestingly, this doubles the browser's usage in a one-year period. In the first 13 days after Chrome was launched in September 2008, we registered 2.86% of visitors using the browser.

In the first 13 days of September 2009 that figure has grown substantially to 6.73%.

In comparison for the same period, Internet Explorer's market share among Pocket-lint readers has dropped 13%, while Firefox is up around 4%. Safari has also doubled in a year while Opera has dropped slightly from 2.10% to just 1.91%.
