Trend Micro warns mobile users must protect themselves

The company has launched an antivirus and SMS anti-spam for Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0

With lots of new devices using such as the new The new HP iPAQ hw6900 Mobile Messenger using Microsoft's new Windows Mobile 5 operating system, it is no surprise that Trend Micro, the antivirus software company, is warning that users that they are at risk if they don't protect their devices.

To combat this, the company has launched an antivirus and SMS anti-spam protection application for devices running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 2.0 also works on devices running a number of operating systems other than the new Mobile edition and these systems include Windows Mobile 2003/2003SE for Smartphone, Windows Mobile 2003/2003SE for Pocket PC and PocketPC Phone Edition, Symbian OS 7.0 with UIQ 2.0/2.1, Symbian OS v7.0s/v8.0a/v8.1a with Series 60 User Interface and now Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0.

Trend Micro Mobile Security 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 (PocketPC and
Smartphone) is available in May 2006 with pricing beginning at £15 per device.
