Navigon has announced the availability of a second free update for the North American version of MobileNavigator for the iPhone, an update that is already available in Europe and Australia.

The update brings a text-to-speech function that means the MobileNaviagtor will announce street names in addition to turn-by-turn directions as well as day and night modes.

In addition, there's new "seamless" iPod controls that means drivers can now access the full range of iPod functionalities with one click.

Finally, there's a location sharing function that means users can share their own location, an address or a point of interest via email.
