Adult content should be allowed claims porn king

The P in PS3 could soon stand for Porn if suggestions from one Porn industry exec get the go ahead.

Vivid Entertainment head Steve Hirsch wants the PlayStation network to allow its adult users to be able to download the latest porno movies to save them the bother of going to the local DVD store.

"Our point is pretty simple, as long as age verification is in place that (Sony) feels comfortable with we see no reason why adults shouldn't be allowed to access adult movies on the Playstation 3," the honcho told gaming website Kotaku.

According to the site, Hirsch said his company has an extensive catalogue of films including Bad Wives, Seven Deadly Sins and Tristan Taramino's Expert Guide to Oral Sex 2, is in the process of drafting a formal request to send to Sony Computer.

However Hirsch is likely to have a tough battle with Sony, who have previously stated that it wouldn't allow Porn titles to make it on to Blu-ray, and therefore near its PlayStation console.

Back in 2007, Pirates porn star Jesse Jane told Pocket-lint that she was happy to be filmed in HD, but told us that other stars she knew weren't so keen.

In Hollywood some actresses have expressed concerns that the new high-definition picture quality shows when they've used too much make-up to cover un-slightly blemishes she said at the time.
