Microsoft Office 2010 leaks to Bittorrent

9 September 2009 15:39 GMT / By Duncan Geere

Microsoft Office 2010 is due next year, but a version has already leaked out to Bittorrent websites. It's the first that uses the term "beta", indicating that development of the software may be further along than previously believed.

The release, which is lablled as "build 14.0.4417.1000", is a "Mondo edition". In the past, that's meant that it's an "Ultimate" edition, but in 2010 there's not supposed to be an "Ultimate" version. This is probably, therefore, an internal version that includes everything.

Office 2010 will be available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and will be released on one DVD. The software includes: Access 2010, Excel 2010, InfoPath Designer 2010, InfoPath Filler 2010, OneNote 2010, Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Project 2010, Publisher 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, SharePoint Workspace 2010, Visio 2010, and Word 2010.

A public beta is due later this year.
