The Dreamcast was 10 years old in North America on 9 September, and although it was discontinued just two years after its release, having sold 10 million units, it's still held in high regard as a console, thanks to ahead-of-its-time features.

In October, it's going to be getting a new game - called Rush Rush Rally Racing. As the name suggests, it's a driving title, but an old-skool one - featuring 2D top-down graphics and about as much realism as in Codemasters' "Micro Machines".

The single player has a grand prix with four difficulty levels, and there's also three multiplayer modes that can accomodate upto four players at the same time. There are 10 grand prix tracks, and five cars to choose from. It's region-free, supports the rumble pack and is compatible with all original Dreamcast accessories.

It'll be hitting eBay and Amazon in October, and will cost $22. It's available for pre-order from the manufacturer right now. If you've been itching to dig out your Dreamcast for a while, then this could be as good a reason as any.
