Vodafone leaks LG Etna Android phone

Unconfirmed handset shown off at tech show

LG's first Android phone - apparently called the "Etna" - has been leaked by mobile phone operator Vodafone.

German website "Chip Online" spotted the QWERTY keyboard-equipped Etna at the Vodafone booth at the recent IFA 2009 show.

Sadly, they only snapped one pic, presumably before Voda officials got wise, but did manage the glean it will offer a 3-inch screen, 5-megapixel camera and Bluetooth.

LG does not appear thrilled at the news. In response to our query for more info about the device, we received, "the handset has not been announced, at the present time we have no information to provide".

We will keep you posted.
