Asus announces T1 screens
Monitor/TV hybrid series

Asus has announced a new set of screens that it's calling the T1 series. It's a monitor/television hybrid, meaning that it has the capability of displaying both computer signals as well as television ones. Of course, most televisions can do that already, but let's not rain on Asus's parade.
From the TV angle, it has a set of display modes that'll you'll be familiar with - Game, Night view, Scenery and Standard - and a pair of integrated 7W speakers with four audio presets - Vocal, Rock, Soft, and the wonderfully titled "Boom".
It has a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, 1080p support, 2 HDMI ports, and a "vast array" of other connection options. It comes in 22-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch sizes, and has an integrated TV-tuner that can get both digital and analogue signals.
We're told pricing is "approx £279", but it's not clear which size screen that applies to. On the bright side, though, they're available now.
