Sonos has announced that it has added Twitter support to its Sonos music system so users can surf twitter while deciding what music to play around their house. The company has started publicly beta testing Sonos System Software 3.1 featuring the integration of Twitter updates into the Sonos experience.
The new feature is designed to help Sonos customers tell friends and followers what is playing on their Sonos Multi-Room Music System by sending Twitter updates direct from their Sonos controller, says the company.
Using the Sonos Controller 200, Sonos Controller for iPhone, and the Sonos Controller for Mac or PC, Sonos customers will be able to edit and post the name and artist of the track they’re listening to on their Twitter feed.
The bad news? Invitations to join the beta trial have been closed meaning if you aren't on the list you'll have to wait until later in the year to get the new feature. Audio, Software, Twitter, Sonos
