Samsung N510, N130 N140 netbooks debut at IFA

IFA 2009: ION powered netbook breaks cover

Samsung has announced three new N series laptops at IFA in Berlin, Germany as it continues to push to dominate the netbook market.

The new models, all due to ship in the next couple of weeks will be the Ion powered N510, as well as the N130 and N140.

The N510 will feature the ION graphics chip from Nvidia and promises graphics capabilities up to 10x faster than non ION based netbooks. It will sport an 11.6-inch 16:9 ratio screen, Intel Atom 1.66GHz processor with Nvidia’s 9400M GPU. It will also come with 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD and XP Home. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Webcam, 3-in-1 card reader and a 6-cell Lithium Ion battery.

The N130 and N140 will both sport a 10.1-inch screen, and promise long battery life (11 hours for the N140. 7.5 hours for the N130) and a lightweight solution (1.26Kg for the N130).

All three are available in a range of colours including black, white, sea blue, and peach pink.
