Samsung's AMOLED-equipped M1 MP3 player has been unveiled at IFA, as Pocket-lint reported it would be.

Going up against the iPod touch and the Zune HD, the new PMP offers the Nvidia Tegra chipset, Samsung's TouchWiz interface and 720p quality playback.

DivX-compatible, with the claim of easy "drag and drop" operation, the M1 offers Samsung's DNSe 3.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine) tech for "the highest possible sound quality".

Described as the "premium" model in the new "Beat" line-up, it features that 3.3-inch touch display, a micro-SD slot, built-in stereo speaker, FM radio, voice recording and Bluetooth capabilities, scratch-resistant metal design and customisable flash-based widgets, thanks to the TouchWiz UI.

We will bring you more news on UK availability as we hear it.
