Nokia has officially announced the new Nokia N97 Mini at its Nokia World event in Stuttgart. Germany.

As expected the phone is a cut-down version of the company's current flagship model, the touchscreen N97, with an emphasis on the social side of things.

Offering Nokia's "Lifecasting" services, the phone is aimed at those that can't live without social networking their every move.

The new mobile phone, that offers Nokia's slide out QWERTY keyboard, will provide users with maps, a camera, games, music, messaging and access to Nokia's Ovi Store.

Nokia describes the N97 mini as "a smaller mobile computer with
stylish stainless steel cues, featuring a tilting 3.2-inch touch display, QWERTY keyboard and fully customisable homescreen that makes each Nokia N97 mini as unique as a fingerprint".

Priced at 450 euros it's not as affordable as rumours suggested.
