At the Nokia World event in Stuttgart, the Nokia CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, has effectively confirmed the existence of the much-rumoured - and somewhat leaked - Nokia N97 Mini.

The N97 Mini is thought to be a cut-down version of Nokia's touchscreen flagship phone and is rumoured to be available before the end of the year.

Kallasvuo revealed on stage that the Nokia World event will bring news including a "new variation of the N97 to broaden its appeal to an even larger audience".

In addition, the Nokia boss also promised that two new music themed phones are due to be announced. We will keep you posted.
