CoPilot Live makers ALK have launched a new European version of its GPS software for the iPhone App Store.

The new version, priced at £59.99 will offer UK and European maps and be the same price as the TomTom and Navigon UK offerings.

In an attempt to prove that satnav for the phone doesn't need to be expensive, the company also offers the considerably cheaper £25.99 version of the application with UK maps.

The app provides turn-by-turn voice guidance across the Continent on the iPhone, complete with detailed street maps and Points of Interest for Western and Eastern Europe.
