Nokia Booklet 3G announced

As-rumoured 10-inch netbook revealed

As has been rumoured, Nokia has now officially announced its entry into the netbook market with the launch of the Windows-based Nokia "Booklet 3G".

The phone manufacturer states that its 10-inch Booklet offers a full-function PC inside an ultra-portable aluminium chassis weighing in at 1.25 kilograms and measuring less than 2cm thick.

Powered by the Intel Atom processor, Nokia claims up to 12 hours battery life for the Booklet 3G.

The "mini-laptop" as Nokia describes it, also gets an HDMI port for HD video out, a front facing camera for video calling, integrated Bluetooth, an SD card reader and A-GPS.

Connectivity options include 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi which also, Nokia says, will include Nokia's "broad suite of Ovi services", an interesting cross platform move that some think Apple will also make with its rumoured tablet and the App Store.
