Vodafone cheap roaming offer ending soon

21 August 2009 13:00 GMT / By Duncan Geere

Vodafone has announced that its summer cheap roaming deal is coming to an end, and that you've only got two more weekends to take advantage before the promotion finishes on 31 August.

The network says that over 2.5 million Vodafone Passport customers have taken advantage of the cheap roaming rates to 35 Countries across Europe, New Zealand and Australia. If you've got a short break planned over the bank holiday weekend, then it's easy to activate the service.

Pay monthly customers just need to text "PASSPORT" to 97888, and PAYGers text the same thing to 2345. From there on, costs should be "exactly the same as they were in the UK", and Pay Monthly customers can use inclusive minutes for no extra charge.

After the promotion expires, you'll have to pay a 75p connection fee for each call, and texts will cost 11p. Roaming mobile internet or mobile broadband costs extra again.
