Casio, as well as the EX-Z450 and EX-Z90, have also dropped us word of a couple of other models - the EX-Z280 and EX-Z33. While the target market doesn't differ - these are very clearly consumer models - the specs do a little, so let's take a closer look. The EX-Z280 is being billed as "a family camera for every occasion". Not sure if that includes the occasion of dad being caught with the babysitter again, but if it does - the 12.1 megapixel sensor should capture everything perfectly to send round to his work colleagues.
There's also a 4x optical zoom, 26mm wide-angle lens and the option to record HD video upto 720p. The TFT on the back is 2.7-inches, and there's a couple of processing options - "dynamic photo" and "make-up mode".
Over to the EX-Z33. This model only has a 10-megapixel sensor, 3x zoom, and 2.5-inch LCD. However, it has plenty of software features to make up for the lower specs.
For starters, there's 23 different scene shooting modes, and a YouTube capture mode. The latter will record and save files to the ideal settings for upload to Google's video-sharing site. There's also auto-shutter with smile regonition, and gives faces priority for exposure.
We don't have prices or release dates for either, but we've contacted Casio to ask. Cameras, Compact cameras, Casio, 12 megapixels, 10 megapixels, Casio EX-Z280, Casio EX-Z33, Digital cameras
