EA is expected to announce that it will be releasing a Beatles version of its SingStar game within days of The Beatles: Rock Band going on sale.

The news, leaked at games conference GamesCom in Germany to gaming industry mag MCV, suggests that EA is hoping to appeal to gamers not wanting to clutter up their house with instruments but still looking to get in on the "Love Love Me Do".

"MCV understands that SingStar: The Beatles will effectively be an instrument-free port of The Beatles: Rock Band, and will be exclusively released on PlayStation 3," the mag claims.

The title, which will come bundled with SingStar microphones, will be released "within days" of The Beatles: Rock Band's arrival on September 9th, MCV understands.

Sony's SingStar already has a number of dedicated band discs such as Abba, Queen, and Take That.
