They say sex is overrated, however it seems that a new survey may have provided the results to prove it. In a recent survey, only 25% said they wouldn't give up sex, alcohol or chocolate in favour of their mobile phone.

The survey, which asked 1000 people what they would be happy to give up found that most were unwilling to ditch their mobile phone (7%) compared to 62% who said they could live without chocolate.

Further tech-fuelled questions stated that 10 per cent of respondents said they couldn't go more than five minutes without their mobile. 18 per cent said they could only go an hour, while 16 per cent said they could make it to four hours. 20 per cent could last a day but just 25 per cent could go longer than a full day without their mobile.

The survey also suggested post is now a thing of the past. 62 per cent of respondents haven't posted a letter within the past month and for 19 per cent of respondents it has been more than five years since they posted a letter.

The survey was carried out by unified communications provider Lumison.
