• There will be a PS3 Slim at some point, I can't see how anyone can doubt that. We just don't know when it'll be released and how much, but I've read rumours that it's going to be £269.99 which I don't think will be enough. Until it's £199.99, that's when it'll take off. But I can see Microsoft spoiling the party by reducing the arcade pack down to £99.99 and also reducing the over packs. Posted by Agent75, England

• Will the PlayStation be as good if it is cheaper? Will the ps3 slim be as good as the original? by reducing the price and cutting features the ps3 will be cheaper but it won’t be as good. Will a 200$ ps3 or ps3 slim be better than a big old ps3? The first ps3 had 4 usb port, multimemory card reader, backward compatibility and a bigger CELL. Now the new ps3s don’t have that. By making it cheaper or "SLIM" is cheaper but it loses features so we will get a cheaper or slimmer console but whit less features, worst graphics and smaller memory. Don’t get me wrong I will love a price cut or a slim model and I know why Sony does it. I don’t want Sony to be bankrupt but if they are going to do like Microsoft whit the Xbox 360 and give me a cheap but broken console then is better not to have a price cut or slim no matter what the industry thinks about the ps3 needs a price cut. The COST REDUCTION will reduce the cost by making cuts in the system most of the times. But will a smaller CELL give me the same realistic graphics and awesome sound as when the ps3 first came out? Will a 200$ ps3 slim will have a built-in Blu-ray player or will I have to buy it separately for an extra 100$? I hope Sony doesn’t do that and just keeps innovating and getting better like they always do but if they don’t then I prefer my OLD and FAT ps3 whit all the features that make it a great product and an excellent buy. • Uhh... Justin. A bigger or smaller Cell doesn't make a difference performance-wise. A smaller Cell means lower production costs and more energy efficiency.
