Lets you know what your mates are up to without them saying

A new mobile phone application is promising to tap into your Facebook friends list and then let you know what people are up to when they call your mobile phone.

Called YELLIX, the new web based application runs on Android, RIM BlackBerry, Symbian or Windows Mobile operating systems meaning BlackBerry, HTC, LG, Nokia, Motorola, Palm, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phone owners are good to go.

"When a Facebook friend calls you on your mobile, YELLIX automatically displays a pop-up showing you the up-to-date status, photo and other relevant content of your friend," says the blurb on the company's website.

Available across the globe, and on all networks, the mobile app should give you an idea of what your friends are up to when they call, as long as they've updated their Facebook status.
