Designers and engineers spend billions in research and development so we can finally rid ourselves of the stylus and then one company comes along and launches a stylus for touchscreens.

The Styloid v2.0 Stylus is designed for capacitive touch screens such as the one found on the iPhone and allows users to once again embrace the pen over the finger.

Patterned after a fine writing instrument, according to the company "Styloid allows precise control of both touch screen interfaces and the small buttons found on modern digital devices."

Claiming to be the answer to people with "large" (read fat) fingers or girls with long nails it clearly hopes to be a hit with a very niche audience.

Styloid features a rugged, hard-anodized aluminium barrel with polished stainless steel accents and pocket clip.

Yours for $14.95.
