Ricoh unveils the new Caplio RR630 digital camera

Ricoh has announced a new 6 megapixel digital camera aimed at first time users

Ricoh has announced a new 6 megapixel digital camera called the Caplio RR630 which it hopes will appeal to first time digital camera users.

The CaplioRR630 is the latest addition its range of digital cameras and features a 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, a 2-inch LCD monitor and with 16MB of internal memory. Users can also opt to store images on an external SD Card via the slot provided.

The camera also offers a 6cm macro mode for close up photography.

The RR630 records movies, and comes with four scene modes that optimise the camera's settings for a particular type of subject.

Powered by regular AA batteries, the Caplio RR630 will be available from March and will cost £129.99.
