Apple is expected to add Blu-ray support to the next version of its iTunes software sources say. iTunes 9 is expected out in September, and according to rumours adds a number of new features on top of what is currently already available.Historically the company has shied away from openly supporting Blu-ray, even though it has been a member of the Blu-ray Disc Association for some time. However, according to earlier rumours from Apple-following site Appleinsider, there are suggestions that might be about to change with new Blu-ray options for the company's iMac range coming soon.
In addition to the Blu-ray support, iTunes 9 users will reportedly get the ability to visually arrange iPhone and iPod apps and possible Twitter and Facebook integration, claims Boy Genius Report.
The site doesn't name its source, but we'll keep you posted of anything else we hear.
