Podcasting is due to come to the masses, or anyone with Microsoft Word

MT-Podcast promises to let anyone produce podcasts without the need for voice recordings.

Users hoping to make a podcast simply write their script using Word and then hand it over to the software, which then produces a recording using a natural sounding male or female voice in MP3 format.

The company behind the software is hoping that MT-Podcast will help businesses make training manuals or news services without the costs of hiring in professional speakers.

The software speaks multiple languages and reads names, numbers and currencies.

Currently available in English, MT-Podcast will also be available soon in French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Belgian Dutch and Swedish.

The software is expected to be available sometime before July. The company has yet to set a price, however a spokesman we talked to suggested it would be around £20.
