Tesco Mobile offers "unlimited" £30 per month tariff

Talk and text as much as you want

Tesco Mobile has unveiled a brand new "credit crunch-beating 'Unlimited' tariff", that it says allows people to talk and text as much as they want "without worrying about their monthly phone bills".

The SIM-only, pay-monthly deal, gives people unlimited minutes, texts and browsing for £30 a month. It seems like a genuine deal for the average consumer with the "Unlimited" part limited to a fair use limit of £500.

"We believe that this will change the way people use their mobile phones. The new tariff aims to give people a simple, guaranteed way to have unlimited calls, texts and browsing", says a Tesco spokesperson.

"It takes away the concern and uncertainty about your monthly bill as it’s fixed at £30, meaning you can talk, text and browse freely".

  • and what about people who can't afford £30 per month for a phone bill? will it allow them "to talk and text as much as they want 'without worrying about their monthly phone bills'"?

would have thought a real "credit-crunching" tariff would have been more like £5 or £10 per month for all of the service a credit-crunched person would want to make...

  • What are you moaning about:
There are £5 and £10 deals on the market already. they offer a better deal then a similar quantity of PAYG credit, and are suitable for those on a tight budget.
This deal is more in competition with the likes of a £50 - £70 tarriff from other suppliers, and appears to offer a very competitive deal. - compare it with what you can get for £30 from the main 5 retailers. - with offers via one retailer rainging from 75 mins up to 1900 mins for £30
