While T-Mobile has the Dash, Sprint has the Snap, Verizon has the Ozone and we've got a gallery of pics of the new device up close and personal.

Roughly the same size as the BlackBerry Bold, but a bit smaller all round, the new phone clearly hopes to appeal to BlackBerry and Nokia E71 series users, it features a 2-megapixel camera, runs Microsoft's Windows 6.1 operating system and comes with the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

You'll get a 2.4-inch screen, A-GPS and the promise of 324 hours standby and 4.8 hours talktime, considerably less than the 8.5 hours T-Mobile is claiming for their offering of the same phone.

US citizens should expect the new handset to land in July for $49.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new 2-year customer agreement.

And yes - that d-pad is as fiddly as it looks.
