Carphone Warehouse is to offer the new HTC Hero in both pink and brown colour schemes the company's sister site, mobiles.co.uk has confirmed.

Exclusive to mobiles.co.uk, the new colours, first discovered by Pocket-lint at the beginning of the month, will be available exclusively to the retailer and are available now.

Until now customers looking to get the new Android handset have only been able to get plain black or graphite in the UK.

The new colour schemes are likely to see the phone appeal to Zune fans (the Zune famously launched in brown in the US) and fans of the colour pink alike (Mrs Pocket-lint wasn't so sure).

Judging from the order page, the two new colours are only available on Orange.

  • Mmmm... cotton candy pink?? I'm in. I don't know about the brown though. The brown Zunes never did that well. I'm sure the white will be the big seller of course.
