Epson launches "hi-definition" all-in-one Stylus Photo PX650

For "digital photography enthusiasts"

27 July 2009 17:14 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Epson has announced the launch of the Epson Stylus Photo PX650, describing the new all-in-one as a "hi-definition" printer "specifically designed to meet the needs of digital photography enthusiasts".

Epson claims the Stylus Photo PX650 lets users scan, copy and print photos that "exceed lab quality".

The scanner offers up to 1200 dpi resolution whilst the dye-based Epson Claria Photographic Ink is said to create glossy pics with smooth gradations and a subtlety of tone that last for over 200 years.

Speeds-wise, 10 x 15cm photos can be produced in 12 seconds, dependent on settings, etc, and there's the option to print photos directly from a memory card and PictBridge compatible cameras via the 6.3cm LCD screen.

Featuring individual colour ink replacement system, and complete with one starter pack of paper, the Epson Stylus Photo PX650 will go on sale for £129.99 from 1 September.
