Pinnacle Systems today announced the availability of Pinnacle PCTV USB Stick, an compact USB2.0 tuner for Digital Terrestrial TV that looks to work in virtually an identical way to Terratec's Cinergy offering.

The Pinnacle PCTV USB Stick comes with a mini remote control and rod antenna included and plugs directly into the USB2.0 port of the laptop.

It includes Pinnacle TVCenter software, which transforms the PC into a PVR, offering the possibility to watch TV or record in MPEG1/2 and DivX video formats.

Pinnacle TVCenter also has Timeshifting, customisable channel lists, Electronic Programme Guide (free 30-day trial) and extra-fast Teletext.

Pinnacle PCTV USB Stick will cost £49.99 and will be available in March.
