Changes to some tag homepages and feeds

SITE NEWS: Some RSS feeds and URLs are changing

28 July 2009 0:08 GMT / By Stuart Miles

As we continue to tidy up the database and make the site work better for you, we are changing the names of a handful of categories.

As a result, if you are subscribed to the RSS feed it will stop working and you will have to tweak the url in your feed reader.

The tag homepage will also be changing, however we've put in place an automatic re-direct so shouldn't affect you when you visit the site.

If that sounds too complicated all you have to do is click on the tag you are interested in (found above this story within the tags element on the page) and then re-subscribe to the new feed.

So for example:

Pocket-lint.com/CarAndGPS

will become

Pocket-lint.com/car+gps.

Here is a full list of the tag homepages that are affected:

BangAndOlufsen >> /bang+and+olusfen
CarAndGPS >> /car+and+gps
HomeCinema >> /home+cinema
HomeAndKitchen >> /home+and+kitchen
MiceAndKeyboards >> /mice+and+keyboards
Satnav >> /gps
SkiingAndSnowboarding /skiing+and+snowboarding
SportsFitness >> /sports+fitness
VideoAndEditing /video+editing
VirusesAndMalware /viruses+and+malware

If you have any queries please feel free to contact us via the feedback form and we will be happy to help out or explain further.

You can find a list of the most popular tags by visiting or see our full list of tag pages.
