Daily Tech Deal: Wii Sports Resort £37.73 at Blockbuster

Money saving deals, offers and innovations

24 July 2009 13:00 GMT / By Ben Crompton

Today sees the release of Wii Sports Resort, the long awaited sequel to the hit bundled game Wii Sports.

Replacing baseball and tennis are the new activities of wake-boarding, canoeing, archery, cycling, swordplay, table tennis, basketball and Frisbee. Bowling and golf make a return.

As well as the new sports, the bundle includes the Wii MotionPlus add-on, an accessory which plugs into the base of the existing Wiimote, offering more precision for "an unprecedented level of control".

If you're planning on making a purchase then there are quite a few sites where you can save on the £49.99 RRP, but the cheapest we have found so far is from Blockbuster.co.uk, which is selling it for £37.73 with free delivery.

There's a link below to take you to Blockbuster and, as ever, if you have managed to find a better deal please let us know in the comments box below.

  • This looks like a US-based company, which would probably result in additional costs for VAT and duty. More importantly, the Wii is NOT region-free, which means a UK Wii will not be able to play this disk... Posted by eotris, United Kingdom
  • ...unless you have a 'non-standard' Wii, or other methods of by-passing it, ofc. Posted by eotris, United Kingdom
  • I've ordered from them before they are definitely customs friendly when it comes to dealing with VAT and duty. But yes the Wii is not region-free so the games won't play on UK Wii console...I use them mostly for PS3 games! Posted by ducati848, United Kingdom
