Sony SingStore signs Universal Music

Classic tracks due in August

23 July 2009 17:57 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

SingStar fans are about to get an influx of new music from August, while apparently by popular request, The Jackson Five’s "I Want You Back" will go live 2 week's earlier than planned on 23 July.

The new tracks are thanks to a deal Sony has signed with Universal Music that will see hit songs from the label available on SingStore, the online store for SingStar on the PS3.

The first major installment will be arriving on 8 August, with the following highlights of what will be added before the month is out:

"I Will Survive" - Gloria Gaynor, Pass The Dutchie - Musical Youth, I Think We’re Alone Now - Tiffany and karaoke classic Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
