We have a smart Panasonic compact camera for you today available from Play.com for £59.99 - half the RRP.

The Lumix DMC - LS85 EB gets 8.1 megapixels, a 2.5-inch LCD screen and 4x optical and digital zoom.

Other key features come in the form of "Motion Picture Recording", iA mode which enables the optical image stabiliser for hand-shake compensation and the so called "Intelligent ISO Control" which detects subject movement. The now well established face detection and scene selector are also present.

There is a built in memory of 50MB but you can expand on this with SD and SDHC memory cards.
