What's said to be the UK's first solar-powered wireless Bluetooth speaker has launched from Devotec Industries.The compact, portable "Solar Sound" offers 2 x 2 Watt output and uses a Bluetooth hook-up to pump out tunes from compatible mobile phones and MP3 players, although comes complete with a cable for connecting wired devices.
The "environmentally inspired" speakers feature an integrated 150mA solar panel which "supports" the built in Lithium-Ion 1500mAh battery that gives 8 hours continuous play at medium volume or 4 hours at maximum volume.
Measuring 16.5 x 5.5 x 5.5cm, the device features touch controls, as well as a built-in mic for hands-free phone convos via the Bluetooth connectivity.
