Facebook same name couple engaged

"Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool."

A couple who met through Facebook, purely because they had the same name, are getting married. Kelly Hildebrandt and Kelly Hildebrandt (they have different middle names, Katrina and Carl) will be tying the knot later this year.

The story started a year ago, when Kelly 1 put in her name into the search, and sent a message to the only other result saying "Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool". Kelly 2's reaction? "I thought she was pretty cute".

That blossomed into a full-scale romance, with calls and emails every day. After visiting Kelly 1 in Florida, Kelly 2 says he "fell head over heels". The couple plan to get married in October, and have promised not to name their children "Kelly".
