Mozilla has release an update to its Firefox browser in order to fix several security issues according to the organisation, as it said it would at the beginning of the month.

The new update, version 3.5.1, fixes several security and stability issues as well as an issue that was making Firefox take a long time to load on some Windows systems the company says.

Users are recommended to download the new update.

The new version, which became available at the beginning of the month has already been downloaded by millions of internet users.

In fact over 5 million people downloaded the browser in the first 24 hours with the launch bringing a reported extra 2% to Firefox's market share, upping it to 31.8%.
