High-def Penthouse porn channel to launch

The UK is to get its first high definition dedicated porn channel for fans of adult films that like to see every little detail.

Penthouse Digital Media has announced that it will soon launch the first "pan-European linear adult channels" in HD.

Available via the Eutelsat Eurobird 9A at 9 degrees East's satellite from 15 September, Penthouse HD will broadcast "soft core" content to viewers in the UK and in Germany.

However, more hardcore vids will be shown on the Penthouse channels HD1 and HD2 in France, Spain and the Netherlands where rules on what can be broadcast are a little more relaxed.
