Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of two new handsets on AT&T in the US a month after their UK launch.

The Sony Ericsson C905a Cyber-Shot and W518a Walkman phones will be launching in the US later this month.

A quick recap will remind us that the new model will sport an 8.1-megapixel camera phone with Xenon flash and 2GB Memory Stick Micro included to store images on.

Photo features include; auto focus face detection, smart contrast, image stabilizer, red-eye reduction, BestPic, digital zoom - up to 16x, photo fix, photo flash, photo light, video light, video recording, video stabiliser, photo feed support, and PictBridge printing.

Other features include a 2.4-inch glass display, built-in Wi-Fi and a TV-Out option, so you can view images on your television. You'll also have ability to geotag images using the in-built GPS receiver so you know where you took them. The phone will offer HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of availability both the C905a Cyber-shot and W518a Walkman will be available in AT&T stores beginning 19 July.

The W518a Walkman phone will come with a 3.2-megapixel camera, Facebook built in, GPS and of course the Walkman feature. Although not available in the UK, the specs and design seem to be similar to the W508 announced in January.

The Sony Ericsson C905a will be available for $179.99 and the W518a for $49.99, both after mail-in rebate with a 2-year service agreement.

The news is likely to come as a disappointment to some Sony Ericsson fans following the company teasing with word of a new announcements on Twitter the day before.
