Creative reduce price of Muvo 2

Following heavy criticism, including from Pocket-Lint.co.uk, for the price of the Muvo 2 MP3 player, Creative has announced that it has dropped the Recommended Retail Price from £279 to £199.99.

Creative in a statement said:

“Spring has sprung, and to celebrate the end of Winter Creative Labs has melted the price of its MuVo2 4GB to an incredible £199.99inc VAT.”

They did not comment however on the fact that the Apple iPod Mini is about to be launched at the £199.99 price point which would pretty much reduce their sales to zero. Neither have they commented on whether or not if you have bought a Muvo 2 at the much higher price of £279.99 whether or not you will be entitled to some of your money back.
