In the States, it's been announced that Blockbuster's "OnDemand" movie rental service will be integrated into Samsung electronics.

An expansion for Blockbuster from its retail stores, the digital service will come as standard on future internet-connected televisions, home theatre systems and Blu-ray players.

In addition, some models of existing Samsung televisions will be able to upgrade with the feature via a firmware update.

This follows a recent deal announced between Sony and US Blockbuster rival Netflix, a company that Samsung already has an agreement with.

The new Blockbuster OnDemand movie services on Samsung products will be available starting in autumn 2009.
