Samsung announces £89 ES17 digi-cam

Samsung has announced the launch of a new E Series compact camera, the ES17.

With the usual boast of features "to make it easier than ever to take high-quality photos", the ES17 is a 12-megapixel effort offering 3x zoom lens and digital image stabilisation.

Features-wise, there's face detection, technology to automatically adjust the auto focus and auto exposure for better portraits, while the in-built "Beauty Shot" mode claims to auto-retouch facial skin for a brighter and smoother skin tone.

The ES17 will be available in pink, silver, white and black for a rather enticing £89 from August.
