Pentax USA has announced three compact digital cameras in time for PMA

Pentax USA has announced three compact digital cameras in time for the Photo Marketing Association annual trade show opening at the end of the month.

The Pentax Optio T10 offers a 6 megapixel, 3x optical zoom with a 3 inch LCD touch display screen.

The Pentax Optio W10 is a 6.0 megapixel digital camera and the third model in Pentax's waterproof digital line-up.

With a 2.5 inch monitor, 6.0 megapixels and a 3X optical zoom, the affordable Pentax M10.

Pentax also announced a new naming system for its camera range. The Optio T series, for example, designates the touch-screen series, Optio W indicates the waterproof series, and Optio M indicates a mid-range series.

The T10 will cost $349.95, the Optio W10 for under $300.00 and the M10 for $229.95. All cameras will be available in March.

We are awaiting confirmation from Pentax to a UK launch and release date.
