Amiga fans hankering for the good ol' days of gaming are in for a treat, with the news that Team17 is to resurrect a classic title as a downloadable game.

A remake of the early Nineties game Alien Breed, based on the Alien films, the new version is called Alien Breed Evolution and is due later this year.

Powered by the Unreal engine, the new game is described as a "drop-dead gorgeous 'retro-modern' remake" of the top-down shooter.

Team17 says: "Featuring an action packed, tense single player adventure and an absolute blast of a co-op game, Alien Breed Evolution helps raise the production bar on download-only titles".

More info is promised for later in the summer, we will keep you posted.
