39 megapixel pixel shot gets its first outing

Phase One show off results of its 39 megapixel camera

At the end of last year, we reported on a digital camera back from Phase One that offered photographers the chance to shoot with a resolution of up to 39 megapixels.

The highest quality digital camera back ever — the P 45 is the world's only digital camera back with a 39 megapixel sensor available on the market.

The company is promising 35 frames per minute and write speed of up to 20Mb per second with each image coming in at a rather large 117Mb per file in size.

Well 3 months on renowned photographer William Hawkes put his trust in Phase One's new P 45 digital camera back to shoot a Budweiser campaign in Sports Illustrated's sexy Swim Suit Edition released on Valentine's Day.

Hawkes chose Phase One's P 45 digital camera back to shoot what is one of the largest contiguous magazine inserts ever at 11”x34” (27.94cm x 86.36cm).

Shooting straight down from a height of ten feet, the P 45 enabled Hawkes to capture the large format image of a model barely covered by Budweiser Beer bottle caps. William.

For our male readership, enjoy, for our female readership apologies in advance.
